He shared his thoughts on the TROLLEY he loves and uses every day.
We were especially impressed by his unexpected—but incredibly practical—way of using it.

—— How has your experience been using MOHEIM’s TROLLEY?
“A quiet companion for living with plants.” That’s how I’d describe it. MOHEIM’s TROLLEY brings a sense of yohaku—a kind of breathing space—into my everyday life.
You can move or display your plants however you like, depending on your mood. Its quiet presence, gently shifting with the seasons, continues to move me.
The black steel handle adds a sharp accent, while also fitting comfortably in your hand. It strikes the perfect balance between beauty and functionality—both thoughtfully designed.
—— So you’ve been using MOHEIM’s TROLLEY together with your plants.
The TROLLEY “moves freely and blends in quietly.” Just as I relocated to Ōiso in the Shōnan area, my plants, too, often “move house” within my home.
Thanks to its smooth casters, you can easily move it—from the back of the room to out on the terrace—chasing the sunlight.
In winter, it’s a reliable resting spot for greenery brought in from outdoors.
The removable tray can be taken outside as is, becoming a perfect little stage for sunbathing.
—— Please share more about your favorite features of the TROLLEY.
“A serene design that carries the philosophy of Keiji Ashizawa.” TROLLEY was designed by architect/designer Keiji Ashizawa. His work has a quiet beauty—it doesn’t stand out too much, yet it has a strong and unmistakable presence.
Because of this thoughtful design, it coexists effortlessly with plants and furniture, becoming a natural part of the surrounding scenery.
Another feature worth noting is the black handle positioned at the top. It serves as a striking structural accent while growing more refined as a tool the more you use it.
—— Do you see other opportunities where the TROLLEY could be useful?
For example, I’d love to use the TROLLEY as a bar cart, neatly lined with bottles of whiskey, sake, and the like. It would be great to turn those bottles, usually tucked away at the back of the kitchen, into a stylish display. I’m sure it would come in handy when friends come over.

In 2025, he relocated from Tokyo to Ōiso in the Shōnan area, beginning a new life surrounded by greenery and the sea. His hobbies include supporting Arsenal FC and, more recently, taking up tennis.
