MOHEIM releases TIN CADDY, produced by one of the few remaining Japanese craftsmen.
MOHEIM, the Japanese interior product brand, will release TIN CADDY on March 8, 2024.
As in the past, each TIN CADDY, an updated version of TIN CANISTER, is handmade by a tea caddy craftsman. The traditional skilled techniques that have been cultivated over the years are now only inherited by just a few craftsmen in Japan.
Hoping that this product would last for a good long time, we used trial and error repeatedly without compromise in the selection of the paint finish.
A new paint that is more resistant to peeling than before is used for TIN CADDY. Further pursuing our commitment to texture, we have upgraded the paint finish to give it a more matte-like and subdued atmosphere.
The design of this simple item is minimalistic and sleek. Not only its design, but also its high airtightness is the result of the craftsmen’s handiwork.
The tinplate material is the same as that used in food cans and is ideal for long-term food preservation. It can store tea leaves and coffee beans, dried fruits and granola, as well as cotton, accessories, and many other items.
To better fit in with any space, the color variation is monotone: white, gray, and black.
TIN CADDY is designed to be used as an interior decoration like an object of art, while keeping your favorite things in a safe container.
