MOHEIM OWN STORY vol.29

—— Could you tell us what you value most when choosing items for your daily life?
I am drawn to products that balance both functional utility and design. I prefer designs that are rooted in logic rather than just intuition. I also value authenticity in the choice of materials and the production background. When choosing an object, I look for something I would truly want to spend a long time with.
—— Could you tell us what you find most characteristic of your personal style when it comes to creating a space?
I don’t let myself be tied down by genres or specific tastes; I just intuitively layer the things I love. If I had to put it into one word, it would be “chaos.” I could never be a minimalist (laughs).

—— How do your daily life and personal interests—such as your hobbies, diet, and taste in music—influence the way you create your space?
I believe they influence me more than I realize. In my case, I often display works by my favorite artists or photographers. As for the works of people I have worked with, I end up wanting them for my own space.

—— How have you found using the WATER BOTTLE so far?
It is easy to grip and easy to use. I feel upbeat with the gentle colors and form. Just by placing it, it becomes an interior like an object. The use of materials with sustainability in mind also makes me delighted.

—— Are there any other MOHEIM items that have caught your eye besides the WATER BOTTLE?
The GOBLET. It seems perfect for daily use. I’d love to use a mix of different colors together rather than a matching set. The fact that it’s microwave-safe is also a plus. While it’s great as a glass—I imagine beer would taste wonderful in it—I can also see it being useful on a desk, perhaps for holding paper clips.
—— The idea of using the GOBLET on a desk is wonderful. Could you share your overall impressions of MOHEIM and what the brand represents to you?
I believe I first discovered MOHEIM around the time the SWING BIN was released. I was impressed by how it was designed starting from human movement—it’s functional and beautiful.
At first, I actually thought MOHEIM was a European or overseas brand. All of their products have a certain serenity and elegance; they aren’t “pushy” in their design. I feel like they can seamlessly fit into any style of room. It’s easy to naturally imagine anyone using them… I get the impression that their approach to craftsmanship is very “healthy.”
—— Thank you so much. We hope you continue to enjoy using the WATER BOTTLE, and we would love for you to welcome the GOBLET into your home as well.
